fixt imo. Complaining that a second event is lame because *you* already played it is somewhat self-centered. Especially considering the event is almost completely transparent if you don't go to shing jea.

This is proof-positive that no matter what Anet does, the whiners come out in force. They're giving a perfectly legitimate reason for the redux which the vast majority of players understand and appreciate, but still the whiners complain. Nothing is ever good enough. I think it's a damn nice thing to do.

It's amazing how people criticize something when it's apparent they never read the reason for the repeat. I saw the post on GWOnline first and most all of the posts were thanking ANET for doing so. Then I come here and all we see on the first group of replies is bitching. ANET tries to right a problem and you still get bitching here. Now I know why I am spending more time at GWOnline and less here, apparently they read before they post.

It just seems wrong....
That statement is just soooo wrong on all levels.

Although I was able to enjoy it the first time around -- I'd like to say Thank you to Anet for bringing it around again for those who couldn't.

i like it; free stuff again, helps with the sweet & drunk titles. :P

also more beetles yay, couldn't play the last at all at all thanks to lag, so yay!

HOWEVER.

i would definately remove AFK games in this one. at the last, everyone was basically forced to AFK because it lagged so much, and i really don't want another lagfest next weekend. and yes, that many people AFKing on the servers DO cause lag, so don't blame server issues.

so yay weekend, nay rings please. there's 0 reason to get them again.

I would like to thank A.net for repeating this festival. I was able to attend, but a friend was away the entire weekend and only got a mask because I saved 250 tokens for him. Now he will be able to play the games, do the quests, etc.

I know the lag was really bad last time for some people (I got lucky and only had bad lag for a couple of hours).

Personally, I plan to redo all the quests, try another mission or two to see if they are as hard as they seemed last time, and generally enjoy myself.

Woodsy.

The first instance of this event was completely lag-tastic, so I'm excited to be able to do it with no issues like that. True, I'd like a chance at some of the other masks but beggars can't be choosers, for goodness' sake! You people are pathetic, if anet rolled back loot scaling you'd still find a reason to whine about it.

Never mind the festival. Has anyone even noticed that they reset the territory change counter? Has that ever even happened before?

(yeah, I know this has been mentioned in the thread, but it's important enough to bring up again.)

Thank you Arena net, I have to say this shows a level of consideration I would not have expected.

I personally attended the event and had a great time. Though I had a friend who had me use his account becuase he was out of town, so I got the hat for him. But he missed the festival its self, so this will give him a chance to replay it. Also I'll get more presents this time becuase I figured out my winning strategy on the last Emperor sessions..

BTW, PLEASE ASSIGN PRESENTS IF YOU CAN!!

I think this is a great idea. Lag wasn't too much of an issue for me during July's Dragon Festival, but I understand it kept a good number of people from fully enjoying the event. What's the harm in giving them (and anyone else who wants to partake) a second chance?

Good call on the redux, ANet. My only gripe is that now I have to figure out how to divide my time up between beetle racing, dragon arena and dragon nest next weekend!

Cool, more lucky/unlucky points. They could've just done it on the Euro servers, but we got included. =o

Mmm...I'm away this weekend so no more Creme Brulees for me and I had the lag last time, luckily I got a mask. This weekend was unexpected to say the least and whilst other updates may need to happen I think this will make more of the community happy than say a skill balance.

Yea, I reaaaaallllly hoping for the grasp mask from the actors. This will make the original Demon Mask more 'Exclusive' for loyal GW players.

We won't be working on this event code -- so much to do! -- so I'm afraid gift assignment isn't likely. I can ask, but I think that just won't be possible in this repeat.

Gaile... after seeing that walk-through for Eye of the North on IGN, I'm absolutely thrilled that that's where the developers are focusing. Absolutely gorgeous, and I'm not saying that to kiss arse (but I will take brownie points...)
